So it's Friday. Here's the last 3 days. Wednesday = 4 miler straight after work, yoga at night. Thursday = hour + on the bike @ 20mile and tonight (left at 9:30pm, yikes!!) about 5 miles around town. It's nice to run around Wakefield in the summer at night. There are people milling around, getting ice cream, going out to eat, playing baseball and softball, generally being out. I figured I'm part of the fabric of Wakefield now, the guy who runs in the night sometimes. I remember a now deceased friend who used to run around town training for marathons, and you just saw this guy everywhere. Maybe that is me. Hey look it's the guy with the friggin' highway worker's reflector on and the flashing light... Tonight some yahoo in a white Mustang pealed out at the corner of Allen Ave and Rodman. What a joker. A guy coming the other way in this big truck leans out his window and says "Sh*&^tbox Ford, anybody can do it in the rain." Pretty funny. Running tonight I figured this, being as it were I got an obligatory Lyme screening today. I think that unless we in RI get our state gov't to step it up and either bag some deer or work on reversing this stuff, the blood screening will become part of the annual physical here in RI and probably in CT, NY and MA. Didn't W just get diagnosed with Lyme. You'd think that would raise an eyebrow. Well, to quote one of the armed forces slogans "Ever Vigilant". As I said in an earlier e-mail, ticks are mini-terrorists, and for many in this area of the world, are probably going to impact us far more than Ostopya Bin Layin'around and Al "K" Duh.
Enough for now. Gotta stretch the back and rinse off.
Later.MW
